Sam's parents, yes!  Is Sam's dad supportive of his son dating and brain donation, yes!  Mom and dad as a happy, united front, no.  Mom's nonverbal gestures and smiles are verbally accompanied by criticisms, judgments, and affirmations as her son's sole advocate which she is quick to share with her family and Sam's therapist.  She's egotistical, insecure, and makes all the decisions regarding Sam's life but most importantly, she loves her son verimently and fears for his acceptance in the world.
