However, although the conversation did broach that of girls and dating, the therapist also asked Sam if he would be willing to donate his brain to science after he dies.  Wow, one would assume such a topic would provide for much more emotional expression; however, Sam has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder which means, as he describes through voiceover, he takes all conversations literally.  With this understanding, the therapist must be precise with wording and directions.  Additionally, with such a serious topic, one would also assume the therapist's face would be much more serious and possibly tense but to support Sam's needs, the therapist chooses to remain consistent with her communication style as to not cause over stimulation.
